A world-renowned baritone, Buanne became a global sensation with his debut album The Italian, a compelling combination of easy-listening, jazz and orchestral ballads, as well as his more recent FIFA World Cup anthem "Stand Up! (Champions Theme)". Now the well-established 'Voice Of Romance' presents a follow up: Forever Begins Tonight. A mix of original tracks and his versions of classic evergreens, the album possesses the same oozing, effortless charm as its predecessor. The stand-out is of course the dynamic, emotive version of Robbie William's "Angels" ("Un Angelo") - the first time Robbie has ever allowed a foreign language version of the song - though the other 11 tunes are all executed with the same impressive professionalism and panache. His own songwriting - the ultra-seductive title track, for example - stand up admirably well next to exotic, Spanish-sung interpretations of Dusty Springfield's "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me" ("Io Che Non Vivo") and Elvis Presley's "Always On My Mind" ("Vives En Mi Corazo"), amongst other dreamy gems. -Danny McKenna.
