Review Tigger Movie & More / Various:The Tigger Movie features the loveable feline from the Hundred Acre Wood looking for his roots and family tree. Written by the legendary Academy and Grammy Award-winning songwriting duo Richard and Robert Sherman, the artful tunes are trademark old-school feel-good Disney. The Sherman brothers, after all, have penned some of the most memorable Disney songs ever, from the immortal songbook for Mary Poppins to Disneyland's lyrical romp "The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room", and many others-including that global kid anthem "It's a Small World After All". With Tigger, the Shermans again pen the loveable lyrics kids and their grownups will be singing together. A bluesy ballad, a big production number called "Round My Family Tree", and other up tempo tunes such as "The Whoop-de-Dooper Bounce" embrace not only Tigger's character but the poetry and all-too-human sensibility (and occasional imbecility) of the Winnie the Pooh stories. Review Woody's Roundup: A Rootin' Tootin' Collection of Woody's Favorite Songs / Riders in the Sky:When the makers of Toy Story 2 went looking for a story that Woody could own in the celebrated sequel, they settled on thickening the plot by making Woody the former star of a 1950s-era television variety show. In the wake of the film's success, Disneyland launched an immensely popular variety show spin-off featuring some of the music on Woody's Original Roundup. Subtitled A Rootin'-Tootin' Collection of Woody's Favorite Songs, this imaginary soundtrack to a fictional TV show is spiritedly played by cowboy band Riders in the Sky. The songs are compact ditties that kids will fall in love with-especially the title track, the darling "Jessie, the Yodelin' Cowgirl", and the hit "You've Got a Friend in Me".
